The J2 Plus Back is built for bariatric clients whose pelvic and trunk stability needs call for a back designed around them. It is a bi-angular back: the lower section and the upper section sit at different angles, so the pelvis is supported from behind while the trunk is supported where it actually falls.
That shape matters for a client carrying redundant tissue around the pelvis, where a single flat plane tends to push the pelvis forward and the client ends up sliding. Holding the two sections at their own angles lets you set pelvic support and trunk support independently.
It is available in two width bands and with a choice of back angle, and a head kit can be ordered with it where a client needs support above the shoulders. The hardware mounts to the chair’s back canes and releases for transport.
