High tone in the legs does real damage over time. Feet, ankles and calves knock repeatedly against hangers and footplates, and what starts as a red mark becomes a wound that takes months to settle. The JAY Full Footbox puts a padded, enclosed surface between the lower limbs and the hardware.
It is a full width box, so both feet are contained. The divider option adds an internal separator for clients whose legs scissor or cross, keeping each foot in its own space. All the surfaces the client contacts are covered in reverse Dartex, which wipes down and holds up to daily use.
For carers, it takes the guesswork out of foot placement at every transfer: the feet go in the box and stay there. For the client it means fewer injuries and less time out of the chair having dressings changed.
