Who it suits
The JAY Encompass is a configurable back for clients with demanding positioning needs, and this is the shorter shell height, for a client who needs trunk support without the back running up past the shoulder blades. Shorter backs suit self propellers and anyone who needs their shoulders free.
The shell is a contoured three-piece aluminium build with adjustable lateral thoracic supports that swing away, so the laterals can hug the trunk when the client is seated and move aside for transfers. That is the feature that makes strong lateral support workable in daily life, not only in the clinic.
Foam inserts are configurable: you choose thicknesses and densities and layer them to build the shape the client needs. The AirExchange cover helps manage heat against the back.
