About this product

An anterior trunk support for a client who cannot hold their trunk upright against gravity and who needs to be brought forward off the backrest into a functional midline position. The bib shape puts a panel across the chest with the load carried up over the shoulders.

Holding the trunk steady frees the head and the arms to do something useful, which is the point of the exercise: eye contact, eating, a switch, a communication device. It also helps keep the client off the side of the chair and out of a collapsed posture as the day wears on.

This one is built to order, so the panel size, strap layout and mounting are set to the client and to the backrest it fastens to. Fit needs to be checked on the chair with the client in their usual seating.
