The Invacare Birdie Evo is a mobile floor hoist for full body transfers in a home or a residential setting. This build has electric leg spread, so the carer opens and closes the base with the hand control, with no foot pedal or lever to work while keeping a hand on the client.
That one change removes a lot of awkwardness from a transfer. The legs can be spread around a recliner or a shower chair, closed again to move through a doorway, and adjusted mid lift if the approach is not quite right, all without the carer letting go or bending down. The mast lowers far enough for a floor pickup after a fall and rises high enough to clear a bed or a chair.
It dismantles without tools for transport between houses, and low set legs slide under most beds and chairs.
