About this product

Bedding resting on the feet is a problem for clients with sensitive skin, painful feet, oedema or a wound on the lower limb. The Icare Over Bed Blanket Cradle lifts the blankets clear at the foot end of the bed, taking the weight off the feet and letting air move around them.

It gives clients with plantar flexion contracture risk or delicate skin a simple way to stay covered and warm without the pressure that comes with it. Carers get a clear view of the feet and lower legs for skin checks, without unmaking the bed each time.

The cradle sits at the foot of the bed and holds the bedding above mattress level, adjustable within a set range so the clearance can be matched to the client. It has been approved for prescription by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and registered nurses under the DVA schedule.
