Heat sensitivity keeps a lot of people awake: clients with multiple sclerosis, people going through menopause, clients with reduced mobility who cannot move off a warm patch of mattress on their own.
The Icare Hydrosense Bed Pad lies under the fitted sheet and circulates temperature controlled water through silicone tubing quilted into the pad, cooling or warming the whole sleep surface evenly. Corner elastics hold it in position so it does not rumple up under a client who cannot reach down to straighten it. It is sized for one person, so in a shared bed only the person who needs it is affected.
The pad runs from the Hydrosense unit, which sets and holds the temperature all night. Keeping the setting moderate helps limit condensation.
