Feet are the first thing to go out of reach, and the last thing most people want to ask someone else to deal with. This brush puts soft bristles on one side and a rounded pumice stone on the other, on a handle long enough to wash the feet and manage hard skin without bending to the floor.
The polypropylene handle is heat shapeable. Warm it under hot water or a hairdryer, bend it to the angle that suits the client’s reach, and it sets as it cools, so the same brush works for someone washing seated on a shower stool and someone standing at the basin. It washes clean and has a hanging point so it dries properly between uses rather than sitting damp in a corner.
It suits a client with a hip or knee restriction, back pain or reduced balance who cannot safely reach their feet in the shower, for example after a joint replacement or with arthritis. A client with diabetes or fragile skin should take advice from their podiatrist on pumice use, and a soft toe washer without pumice is often the safer recommendation for them.
Good to know
- Bend the handle before first use to suit the user’s reach and seated or standing position
- Manufacturer warranty is 12 months
- Not a substitute for podiatry care of hard skin or nails
