The Golden Rhea helps the user from sitting to standing and back again, then lets them fine-tune how they sit in between. The chair rises and tilts forward to bring the user up to their feet, and lowers them back down just as smoothly, which takes much of the effort and risk out of standing up for the user and for the person helping them.
MaxiComfort positioning gives four comfort zones: footrest, backrest, power headrest and power lumbar. Each moves on its own, so the user can support their head for reading or watching TV, add lower back support, or lie back to rest. The AutoDrive hand control stores favourite positions. The open-arm design has a cup holder, storage, a USB port and a wireless phone charger, and a straight lift option is standard. Lithium-ion battery backup is built in.
Who it suits
Someone who finds it hard or unsafe to stand up from an ordinary chair, at home or in aged care, who can bear weight once upright and would benefit from more ways to adjust their position through the day. The large has a wider, deeper and higher seat than the medium, for taller or larger users. The right size depends on height, leg length and weight, so their feet should rest flat on the floor with the back fully supported. Book a trial at home or in one of our showrooms, Tasmania-wide, and we will help match the size with the user’s OT.
