The Golden Eagle is for users who want to get out and stay out. Big 330 mm (13 in) pneumatic tyres and suspension front and rear soak up rough footpaths, grass verges and gravel paths, and the 75 Ah batteries give a range of up to 51 km. That is enough for a full day of errands, a trip into town and back, or a long run along the foreshore.
The high-back captain’s seat has a headrest, limited recline and adjustable positioning, and the tiller adjusts to suit the rider. An LCD console shows speed, distance, battery level and fault codes. Full LED lighting with bright rear lights helps the user see and be seen in low light. There is also a Bluetooth speaker, USB charging, rear-view mirrors, a front basket and lockable water-resistant storage.
Who it suits
A larger user, up to 226 kg, or anyone who needs a stable, comfortable scooter for longer distances and mixed outdoor ground, including rural and regional areas. It is a full-size scooter, not a travel model. The base alone weighs about 81 kg, so it needs a garage or covered space with power for charging, and a vehicle hoist or trailer if it has to travel.
