The Buzzaround XL is built for the trips that fill a normal week: the shops, the chemist, a coffee with friends, a lap of the local park. It is small enough to turn inside a shopping centre and light enough to take apart and put in the car, so it goes where the user goes rather than staying in the garage.
It comes apart in four steps into the front section, rear section, seat and battery pack. The heaviest piece is the front section at about 16.8 kg. The wraparound tiller has a USB charging port and an LED headlight that angles to where you need it. The contoured seat sets at three heights, and phone and cup holders are included.
Who it suits
Someone who can walk short distances and transfer on and off a seat on their own, and wants a scooter for footpaths, shopping centres and level outdoor paths. It suits a family member or carer who will lift the pieces into a car, or a user who can manage that themselves. It has solid tyres and no suspension, so it is happiest on smooth, even ground.
