A seclusion and isolation surface that is the bed as well as the mattress. The FS4 is deep enough to sit straight on the floor of a seclusion room, so a unit does not need a separate base or frame, and there is no timber or metal anywhere inside it for a client to reach.
Who it suits
It is written for high acuity mental health and behavioural care, where the room has to hold someone safely for hours at a time. The construction is fully sealed and welded with no zip, so there is nothing to tie to and nowhere to hide an object, and the heavy duty cover is waterproof through the seams as well as the face.
Inside, high specification foam gives graded postural support, treated against microbial growth and assembled with a water based, odourless adhesive. Everything is fire retardant, and the whole surface stands up to strong chlorine cleaning between clients. Made in Australia in a range of sizes.
