About this product

Handwriting is often the first fine motor task a client gives up, and it carries more weight than it looks: signing a form, writing a card, leaving a note. The Contour pen is shaped so it can be written with when gripping ability is poor.

The grip area narrows so the pen settles into the web between thumb and index finger, and the thumb then stabilises it from above. That means the client does not have to hold a tight tripod grip to keep control. The ink flows freely, so very little downward pressure is needed to make a clean line, which reduces strain on fingers that tire or ache quickly.

It is light, so writing endurance is less of a limit than usual, and it looks like an ordinary pen, which some clients care about a great deal. Useful for clients with arthritis, neurological conditions or hand weakness.
