A reacher earns its place when a client can no longer bend to the floor or stretch to a high shelf, and this is a plain, light aluminium one that does that job without fuss. The folding shaft means it packs down into a bag or a wheelchair side pocket, so it goes out of the house with the person and is there when they need it.
The handle is ribbed for grip and the trigger is easy to pull, which suits clients with reduced hand strength who still want to dress, pick up dropped items and manage laundry on their own.
