The Accora Empresa self help pole mounts to the bed frame rather than standing on the floor, so it takes up no floor space beside the bed and there is no base to work around when a carer or a hoist needs to get in close.
The client reaches up for the handle and pulls to come into sitting, shift position or lift their hips for care. The strap adjusts to suit different arm reach, so the handle can be set where the client can find it without searching for it. The bracket has a wide base for stability and is sold together with the pole as a set.
It suits clients on an Empresa bed with enough arm and grip strength to take load through the arms: after hip or spinal surgery, with lower limb weakness, or for independent repositioning through the night. It is not a substitute for a hoist where the client cannot pull.
