A bedside commode for a client who cannot make it to the bathroom overnight, or whose toilet is too far away or too hard to reach safely. Having one beside the bed cuts the number of long night walks, which is where a lot of falls happen.
The frame has arms to push up from and a removable pan underneath for the carer to empty and clean. Height adjusts to suit the client’s leg length so their feet reach the floor and the sit to stand is not a drop.
The finish is deliberately domestic, which matters to clients who are uncomfortable with hospital looking equipment appearing in their bedroom.
