Carbon fibre is the reason to specify the Ignite Pro. The shell is moulded, which strips weight out of a part the client carries with them every time the chair is lifted, folded or pushed up a ramp. For a high level user managing their own chair, that weight saving is felt in the shoulders.
The active contour keeps the profile shallow so self propulsion stays clean. Support comes through the lumbar region while the upper trunk is left free to rotate and reach. Inside the shell, high resilience urethane foam with bubble contouring carries the load and a visco-elastic overlay takes the shape of the client’s back over the first weeks of use.
Fixed hardware suits a permanent set-up: once the therapist has dialled in angle, depth and width, the back stays exactly where it was put. The FLO2 cover handles heat and moisture through a long day.
