Quick release hardware makes this version of the Ignite Active Contour the one to look at when the backrest has to come off regularly. A client loading their own chair into a car, or a support worker breaking the chair down for transport, can lift the back away and refit it without tools and without losing the set-up angle.
The shallow active contour is built for propulsion. It supports the trunk through the lower back and leaves the scapulae clear, so the client’s push stroke is not cut short by the shell. Inside, dual layer foam with bubble contouring spreads load across the whole back, and the visco-elastic overlay moulds to the individual.
The aluminium shell keeps the whole assembly light, which matters for anyone lifting the chair daily. A lumbar pad and stability wedges come in the box so the fit can be tuned at the first appointment.
