Every Cura1 cordless pad needs one of these. The 2719 Cordless Pad Transmitter is the piece that turns a bed, chair or floor sensor pad into a wireless device: it clips into the pad and sends the alert by radio to a Cura1 monitor or pager, removing the lead that would otherwise run across the floor beside the bed or the chair.
Setting it up is a switch and nothing else. Status and in-use LEDs show it is awake and reporting, and the sealed internal lithium battery runs for well over a year of normal use, so there is no charging routine and no battery drawer for anyone to forget. The unit is replaced at end of life rather than re-batteried, which keeps the maintenance decision simple for a carer or a facility.
It is required with any cordless pad you order, so count one per pad. It earns its keep anywhere a cable would be a trip hazard, anywhere the chair or wheelchair moves around, and anywhere the carer wants alerts on a pocket pager rather than at a fixed bedside monitor.
