This cordless multiport expander lets a nurse call point pick up signals from wireless devices around a resident’s room. Bed and chair pressure pads, floor mats, wireless handsets, personal transmitters, reed switches and waterproof call buttons can all report through it, so an alert reaches staff through the system they already watch.
The bracket mount is the practical part. The expander is fixed where there is room for it, away from a crowded nurse call panel, which keeps the panel clear and puts the unit in a position where its status lights can be seen. It needs a cable to connect to the nurse call point.
Status and warning lights show what the unit is doing, and a pause mode stops nuisance alarms while a carer is attending to the resident. It runs on batteries, mains power or both, so it keeps working through a power interruption.
