Mild leaning is best caught early, before a client settles into a fixed posture. This pair of lateral supports attaches to the backrest of a Configura Comfort and gives gentle contact at the sides of the trunk, encouraging the person back towards midline as they sit.
Positioning is set by the clinician at fitting, so the supports can be placed where the leaning actually starts for that person. The correction is gentle by design: the aim is to guide posture through the day without blocking movement.
Holding the trunk more upright tends to improve head position, makes eating and drinking safer and gives the person a better view of the room, which is worth a lot to someone who spends most of the day in their chair.
