The bowl is the part of a commode that gets lost, cracked or stained first, and a commode without one is just a chair. The K Care KA50B is the replacement pan for K Care mobile shower commodes and bedside commodes, with a carry handle so it lifts out and travels to the toilet without being cradled, and a fitted lid that keeps the contents covered until someone can empty it.
The lid does two jobs worth having: privacy for the client, and odour control for the room when emptying has to wait. Most households order a second one so there is always a clean bowl in the frame while the other is being washed. It is autoclavable, so aged care and hospital sites can reprocess it between residents rather than replacing it.
