These are the collapsible side rails made for the Accora Empresa bed, supplied as a set of two. They put a barrier along the bed edge for a client at risk of rolling out, without committing to a full length rail.
They are three quarter length, so the foot end of the bed stays clear. A lock and lower mechanism holds the rail securely up, then drops it below the height of the mattress platform when released, which means it is out of the way for a standing or sliding transfer instead of something the carer has to work around. Construction is powder coated mild steel.
The rails are built to BS EN 60601-2-52, the entrapment and dimension standard for medical bed side rails, which is the reference point most therapists will want to see on a risk assessment. Order the part that matches the bed: one code for the single Empresa, another for the wider bed.
Rail height must be assessed against the mattress depth in use.
