This is the M40 in its manual lift build with the keyboard light fitted. Staff raise and lower the work surface by hand, which means there is nothing to charge and no battery to manage across a shift or a ward.
It carries a notebook or tablet in a secure enclosure, with a raised edge on the work surface and contoured push handles. The compact base is the point of the cart: it turns in corridors, bays and bedrooms that a larger workstation cannot use.
The keyboard light shuts off on its own, so it is not left glowing in a resident’s room after the nurse has moved on.
