Small buttons and zip tabs need a pinch grip and fine finger control. This combination aid puts both jobs on one tool: a wire loop that catches the button and pulls it through the hole, and a hook at the other end for the zip tab.

The wooden handle is shaped to be held in a whole hand, so a client with arthritis, tremor, reduced sensation or one working hand applies force through the palm and wrist, not the fingertips. It suits clients dressing themselves after a stroke or joint surgery, and it works for shirts, trousers and jackets.

It is light enough to keep in a bedside drawer or a bag for use away from home.
