It is adjustable rather than fixed. Seat height, seat depth and seat angle can all be set, and the axle plate lets the rear wheel position change for centre of gravity and propelling efficiency. Castor forks take three angle settings so the chair stays square after a seat height change. That gives an OT room to configure the chair to the client instead of accepting a stock build.
