For a client who thrusts, extends or slides out of the chair, a pelvic belt on its own often cannot hold the position. The leg harness works lower down, wrapping each thigh separately so the legs are controlled without pressure across the bladder or abdomen.
Because each leg is held on its own, the person can still move forward naturally to reach, to transfer weight or to take part in an activity. That matters for clients who spend the whole day in the chair and need to stay engaged, not strapped still.
It is supplied as a pair, one harness for each leg, with a plastic side release buckle that opens with a squeeze.
