Use this board for a lateral transfer where the person cannot lie flat. The board is hinged across the middle, so it can be folded to match a semi upright position and still bridge the gap between bed and trolley or bed and chair.
That suits clients with respiratory difficulty, heart failure or reflux, and anyone whose head of bed has to stay raised. Six handles are moulded into the board so two carers can position it, slide the person across and draw it away without wrestling for a grip. Anti slip pads hold it in place during the move, and the polypropylene surface wipes down between clients.
