The Alltrack R3 Outdoor is set up for clients whose lives do not stop at the footpath. Hybrid wheel drive sits the drive wheels between a rear wheel and mid wheel position, which gives the chair outdoor stability without the turning circle of a traditional rear wheel drive base.
The patented dual-action suspension is the heart of it: fully independent six wheel interactive suspension with an unusual amount of drive wheel travel, so the wheels follow the ground rather than bouncing the client over it. Paired with extra wide soft tyres and large castors, the R3 handles rough and uneven terrain while still turning tightly enough for everyday indoor mobility. The heavy duty R3-HD carries the same layout at a higher rated capacity.
Electronics are VR2 or R-Net, with compatibility for Switch-It, Stealth, ASL and MO-VIS specialty controls, and four point tie-down brackets are standard. Transit approval for an occupied chair is available on selected seat sizes and seating configurations, which is worth confirming at script if the client travels in a vehicle seated.
