Larger clients are too often offered a chair that technically holds their weight and does nothing else well. The Amylior Alltrack HD3 is a very heavy duty mid wheel drive power wheelchair built from the ground up for bariatric use, with a rated capacity that does not force a compromise on function.
The mid wheel drive layout keeps the footprint compact, so the chair still turns inside a hallway, a bathroom or a kitchen instead of needing a three point turn in every doorway. Amylior’s patented dual-action suspension carries that weight over kerbs and rough ground without punishing the client, and the fully independent six wheel setup keeps the drive wheels on the ground where lesser bases lose traction.
Electronics can be specified as VR2 or R-Net, and the chair is compatible with Switch-It, Stealth, ASL and MO-VIS specialty controls, so alternative drive access stays on the table. Seat width is adjustable across a wide range and custom seat sizes are available. Four point tie-down brackets come standard.
Who it suits
A client whose weight or body shape rules out a standard power base, who needs indoor manoeuvrability as much as outdoor capability, and whose prescription may include power seating or a specialty control. It is scripted and built to order, so the seating and electronics package is chosen at prescription.
