Standing through a whole shower is what tires a lot of people out, and the tiredness is what leads to the slip. A stool lets the person sit down for the parts of the wash that take the longest.
The frame is aluminium, so it will not rust in a wet room and it stays light enough for a carer or the client to move it in and out of the recess. The seat is padded, which makes a real difference to a client with little natural padding through the buttocks, or to anyone who sits for a long wash and would otherwise finish up sore.
It suits reduced standing tolerance, poor balance or fatigue, and it works in a small bathroom where floor space is tight. With no back or arms in the way, a carer can wash from either side and the client can be dried while still seated.
