Who it suits
Clients who spend most of the day and night in bed and need the sleeping surface itself to do some of the pressure care work. Air support spreads body weight across a wider area, which takes load off the sacrum, hips and heels where pressure injuries start.
The range runs through several sizes so the surface can be matched to the client’s build, with alternating and electric operation available for clients whose risk level calls for an active surface. Getting the configuration right at the start saves changing a surface over partway through a placement.
For carers, an air surface changes how repositioning feels. The client still needs turning to a schedule, but the surface carries the work between turns.
