When the knees fall together and the hips roll in, the pelvis usually follows, and a good cushion stops doing its job. A moulded abductor pad sits between the thighs and holds them apart so hip alignment and sitting posture can be maintained.
The self skinning polyurethane foam has a firm feel with a bit of give, so it holds position without being hard against the inner thigh. There is no separate cover to peel or tear, and the surface wipes over easily, which matters for a pad in this position.
It is moulded onto a timber base with t-nuts already set in, so it bolts to standard abductor hardware and can be moved forward, back or up as a client’s needs change. Sizes are made for small children through to adults, and the pad is latex free.
