Adjustability is the point of this cushion. The Adjuster O2 is divided into compartments of SmartCells, and cells can be added or taken out zone by zone, so a pelvis that sits asymmetrically can be corrected in the cushion itself.
The low profile build keeps seat height down, which helps clients who self propel, who transfer independently, or who need their feet to reach the floor. For skin at risk, the immersion across the whole surface spreads load away from the ischial tuberosities and coccyx, and the open air structure keeps heat and moisture moving away from the skin.
It ships with the Vicair O2 top cover, a breathable cover over the upper surface that leaves the underside open for airflow. The cushion and cover both go through a domestic washing machine, which matters in group homes and shared equipment pools.
