Rear wheel drive suits the client who spends most of their day out on the street rather than turning circles in a hallway. The Frontier V4 RWD tracks straight and holds its line at speed, which makes longer outdoor trips less tiring to drive, while still being manageable indoors.
Fitted with off-road wheels, it handles the ground that stops most powerchairs: dirt tracks, long grass, gravel and rutted paths. All-wheel suspension takes the jolt out of kerbs and potholes, and the geared in-line motors have the torque for a loaded climb. Swap to crossover or urban tyres later and the same chair becomes a street machine, so your client is not locked into one kind of use.
The adjustable seat pan takes Magic Mobility rehab seating or an aftermarket system, with manual or powered elevating legrests and R-Net electronics with an LCD or LED display. Tie-down points are crash test compliant. The motors are splash resistant only, so the chair must not be driven through water, creeks or the sea. Premium colours cost extra and finishes can vary slightly between batches.
