The closed frame creates a continuous structural loop from rear axle to front castor posts, which is what gives it the torsional stiffness it is known for. Rove’s in-house carbon fibre components and titanium 3D-printed lugs do the rest, and the whole thing is made in Australia, which keeps the build and any later changes within reach rather than on the other side of the world.
Because the closed frame carries load so well, it is also Rove’s recommended model for heavier users who need the structure without losing performance. It is rated under the Australian standard for manual wheelchairs.
