The Piranha is for a client whose chair spends as much time in a car as it does on the ground. There is no underframe, so nothing catches when the chair is lifted in and out of a vehicle, and the frame itself is compact and very light.
It is completely custom built: size, rake, hanger angle, taper and camber are all made to the individual. The camber bar position is adjustable, so the centre of gravity can be moved after delivery as the client’s technique settles. It can also be built with the Ergo Seat System for a more supported sitting position.
Where a client needs more from the frame, the design adapts. A behind heel bar adds strength, and a mounting bracket for a vehicle drive lock system can be built in for someone who drives from their chair. Aluminium is standard and titanium is available for the lightest build, with a full list of castor covers, skirt guards, footplate covers, tyres and wheels including composite and Spinergy.
