bibi is the bathing seat for a family that does not stay home. It holds a child in a safe, supported position in the bath, and because it folds and weighs very little it travels to the grandparents’ house, on holiday and down to the beach without any planning.
The backrest runs on a ratchet joint, upright for washing and play, reclined for a child who needs to rest back and be supported through the trunk. The seat surface shapes to the child rather than sitting them on a flat board, and a pelvic harness keeps the hips steady. The folding aluminium frame suits wet areas indoors and out. Schuchmann put bibi at GMFCS levels II to IV.
Worth checking before you script it: the seat width is fixed, so bibi does not grow with the child the way basti does. It suits a child who fits it now and needs portability more than adjustability. If the child needs head support in the water, or sits above the weight limit, look at basti instead.
