madita-fun exists to solve one problem: a child sitting below everyone else. Gas springs run the height adjustment smoothly through the whole range, so the child comes up to eye level at the breakfast table and back down to the play mat without a transfer out of the chair.
A lever tilts the seat for active sitting or for a rest, and the backrest is adjustable and can be taken off completely when the goal is trunk activation. Lateral pads and an individually adjustable pelvic support hold the position, and the headrest and footrest adjust for height, depth and angle. Electric height adjustment right down to floor level is available where a carer cannot manage the gas spring. It comes in a range of colours, which matters more in a family living room than it sounds. Schuchmann put it at GMFCS levels III to V.
For a smaller child who needs a much narrower seat, madita-fun mini covers the same idea at early intervention size.
