Some clients need the therapy of an alternating surface but cannot tolerate how much of it moves under them. The E700 runs a cycle that keeps more of the body supported at any one time, which gives a calmer, more stable feel while still delivering pressure relief for the most complex cases. Where the need is more intensive, the same system can be configured to a more aggressive cycle instead, so one mattress covers both ends of the pathway.
Backrest tilt sensing adjusts the surface as the bed profiles, which is what protects the sacrum when a client sits up for meals or breathing. Heel protection deals with the other site that fails first. Self-sealing cells keep the system running while a cell is changed, and a CPR valve dumps pressure fast when it is needed.
It is supplied with the EP20AU pump and suits ICU, complex rehabilitation, established spinal cord injury pathways and immobile clients in residential or home care.
