The Delta RM2 is a square anti-slip mat for a shower recess or the base of a bath, and it is usually the first thing to try in a bathroom falls plan because it costs little and goes down in a minute. Natural rubber with a textured top gives the feet something to hold, and suction cups underneath grip a smooth, clean floor.
Two practical points make it worth a look. It can be trimmed with scissors to fit a smaller base or to clear a drain, and the cream colour stands out against most tiles, which helps a client with low vision see where the safe standing area is.
It suits any client with a falls history, reduced balance or lower limb weakness who showers standing or on a stool. Suction will not hold on textured or anti-slip tiles, so it needs a smooth floor to work at all. Keep the underside clean so soap residue does not break the seal.
