These are the full-length horizontal safety sides for the Alrick 2300 and 2400 series hi-lo beds, supplied as a pair in the APO Grey powder coat. Each rail gives the client something solid to hold while rolling, and reduces the chance of rolling out of bed altogether.
The horizontal bar design can be raised and lowered by a carer with one hand, which matters when the other hand is on the client. The rails drop into the sockets on the bed frame without tools, and the powder coated steel wipes clean. They have been independently tested to Australian standards.
Who it suits
A client on an Alrick 2300 or 2400 bed who needs a rail to roll and sit up, or who is at risk of rolling out and has agreed to rails as part of a falls plan. Check that the mattress depth still leaves enough rail above the mattress surface, particularly with a thick pressure care mattress. For a client who is confused and likely to climb, rails add risk rather than removing it, and a floorline bed such as the EN7 with a crash mat is the safer path.

- Fits the 2300 and 2400 series only; the EN7 floorline bed uses the 7002HR-EN7 rail and the Luxa bed uses the 7-460HR-LUXA rail
