A flexible rubber pad that grips a stubborn jar lid so a client can open it with less force and less wrist strain. It gives the hand something soft to press into, which helps where arthritis, reduced grip or sensitive joints make a smooth metal lid impossible.
It rolls up and lives in a kitchen drawer, so there is nothing to set up and nothing to maintain. The same pad works on bottle caps, taps and anywhere else grip is the problem.
For an OT it is one of the cheapest ways to keep someone independent in their own kitchen.
