Who it suits
Light Drive 2.1 turns a manual wheelchair into a powered one in seconds. It suits a client who self propels well at home but runs out of shoulder or stamina outdoors, and this dual attendant control version puts a control in the carer’s hands as well, which is the right set up when the person out front cannot drive the chair safely on their own.
The unit clips on and off the wheelchair without tools, so the chair folds and goes in a car as it always did. The clutch releases in one movement and the client can go back to self propelling straight away. The battery lifts out for charging and carries a charge indicator.
For a family, it means hills, gravel and long shopping trips stop being the reason to stay home, and the carer steers with a control.
Compatibility depends on the wheelchair.
