The Etac Tasty plate has a high edge on one side and a low edge on the other, so food can be pushed up against the wall and scooped without a second hand holding anything steady.

A rubber strip underneath keeps the plate where it is put. That helps a person eating independently after a stroke, and it also helps a carer who is assisting, because the plate is not chasing around the table.
