Height and weight in one visit, at one station. This version of the seca 769 column scale comes with the measuring rod fitted, so the client steps on, is measured, and both figures are recorded before they move again.
The rod has a fine millimetre division and folds against the column when it is not in use. Feed the height into the scale and the BMI function returns a figure straight away, which is what most chronic disease and nutrition reviews are after.
Operation happens at hip height on the column rather than down at floor level, and tare and hold deal with the practical problems of a patient who cannot stand still or is holding a bag. Battery power keeps it free of cables, and transport castors let staff move it between rooms.
