The seca 212 measures two things with one tape. The front side reads head circumference in babies and toddlers, and the reverse side is scaled for assessing facial symmetry, which brings plagiocephaly and asymmetry screening into the same routine measurement.
The tape is a non stretch Teflon coated material, so it holds its length through repeated use and gives a colour coded result that is quick to read against a moving child. Tapes are stored in a dispenser that keeps them clean and pulls out one at a time.
It suits paediatric clinics, child health nurses, physiotherapists working with infants and anyone recording head shape over a series of visits.
