Forearm crutches move the load off the hands and wrists and share it through the forearm, which is why they suit long term use where underarm crutches would not. This pair from Redgum has an open curved cuff, so the client can let go of the grip to open a door or take something off a bench and the crutch stays on the arm.
Height adjusts through a Sure Lock mechanism across ten settings in even increments, so you can set them accurately for the client and confirm both sides match. The hand grip is ribbed and shaped, which reduces hot spots on longer walks.
A reflector is built in for visibility on footpaths at dusk. The body is aluminium with a plastic top section and a heavy duty rubber tip, and the crutch carries a lifetime warranty against corrosion. Either crutch can be used on its own as a single walking stick where a client is progressing to one point of support.
Supplied as a pair.
