A quad cane suits a client whose balance needs support at the foot of the stick as well as under the hand, often after a stroke or where weight bearing is poor on one side. The four point base stands on its own, so the cane stays upright when the client lets go to open a door or reach for a rail.
The base is a low profile offset design that sits close to the line of walking, which keeps the load under the hand and reduces the trip risk at the foot. The handle is offset with a soft foam grip, and it works for a left or right handed user without changing parts. The shaft adjusts with a locking collar and the tips are rubber.
Construction is aluminium and steel, so it is light to swing through but stable on the floor.
