Getting a leg that will not move on its own up onto a bed or a footstool takes more grip than people expect. This is the two-handed version of the standard leg lifter: two handles at the top let your client pull with both arms together, which spreads the effort and takes the load off a single weak hand.
A rigid centre rod stops the strap folding over while the leg is being steered, so the leg goes where the client aims it instead of the strap collapsing halfway through the move. The lower loop slides over the foot. It works for repositioning on a couch or in a chair as well as getting legs into bed, and it packs flat so it can travel in a bag or a car.
It suits a client with limited or no leg function and weak grip in one or both hands, for example with spinal cord injury, MS or advanced arthritis, who can still use two arms together. If your client can manage with one arm and needs the other hand free for balance, the standard Homecraft Leg Lifter is the simpler option.
